Who Are The 12 Companies That Won A spot In Cleveland's Plug And Play Accelerator Program?

Twelve companies have been selected for Cleveland’s Plug and Play accelerator program, which will provide mentorship to high-tech startup companies.

The companies will be in the Global Center for Health Innovation, where Plug and Play has entered into a three-year commitment to provide said mentorship, cleveland.com’s Emily Bamforth reported.

Nearly 30 startups made pitches on March 1 during Plug and Play’s first accelerator class in Cleveland to compete for a spot, and audience members assisted the Cleveland Clinic and local business booster JumpStart in the selection process.

Plug and Play is based in Silicon Valley, Calif., and has three locations.

The Silicon Valley and Munich, Germany, facilities work with pharmaceutical companies. Cleveland’s location will focus on medical devices and other technologies that relate to health.

The 12 winning startups will have access to partnerships and venture capital.
