JumpStart Sets June 26 As Date For Next Startup Scaleup Event
JumpStart Inc.’s fourth annual Startup Scaleup — an event aimed at celebrating the growth of Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial sector and providing information and resources to help it expand further — will take place Tuesday, June 26, in Cleveland’s Gordon Square Arts District.
The day-long event, presented by KeyBank, will feature 39 workshops, panels and networking events taking place in 13 eateries, theaters and creative spaces in the neighborhood, JumpStart said in a news release.
It also will feature guest speakers from across the country. Among them are Monique Woodard, a startup investor and former venture partner at 500 Startups in San Francisco; Gerri Kahnweiler, founding partner of InvestHER Ventures in Chicago; and Hannah Fleishman, inbound recruiting manager at HubSpot in Boston.
JumpStart CEO Ray Leach in a statement called the event “a great opportunity to connect with others who are sharing the journey and surround yourself with a team of people who can help you and your business grow and thrive.” JumpStart president Cathy Belk added, “It’s not just a lecture or a business card swap; it’s about forming very specific relationships that can drive business growth in a tangible way.”
Tickets for the event are $20 and include a $10 lunch voucher, as well as two $5 snack vouchers redeemable at various local food vendors in the Gordon Square Arts District.
