Mezu, the only money app that puts privacy first, will be accepted throughout the festival and event attendees will receive $5 from Mezu to spend at the Ohio City Street Festival on Sunday. Ohio City is encouraging everyone who is attending the Festival to download the app in advance!
Mezu, Cleveland’s hometown money app, is available as a free download on iOS and Android devices. The money sharing app allows individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to give and get money without having to share any personal information—just like cash.
“We are very excited to be able to provide festival-goers with a safe, cash-free experience,” said Tom McNair, Executive Director of Ohio City Incorporated. “We think this will change the way people are able to enjoy the day and not have to worry about having a wallet or cash on them. It will also make it easier for vendors to serve even more people on the day. And more than anything, we want to support a Cleveland tech startup that is committed to growing and creating jobs in our region!”
