Small Business Saturday: Shop with Toledo-Based Impact Program Graduates
Small Business Saturday – a day when consumers are encouraged to support local small businesses in their communities – is celebrated the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Small Business Saturday has become a cherished tradition since it was founded in 2010. It has been cosponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration since 2011.
Presented as a contrast Black Friday – the unofficial start of holiday shopping and hallmark of American consumerism – Small Business Saturday has become an important part of small businesses’ busiest shopping season. At JumpStart, we not only recognize the importance of this day but have also established our flagship Small Business Impact Program to help local, growth-stage businesses unlock their full potential to transform entire communities.
The Heartbeat of Local Economies
Small businesses are the heartbeat of thriving communities. They provide unique products and services, create jobs, contribute to the vibrance of our communities and boost economic vitality. Supporting small businesses is an investment in the health of our neighborhoods and the dreams of entrepreneurs who have taken the bold step of starting their own ventures.
The JumpStart Small Business Impact Program
The Small Business Impact Program is designed to support and empower small business owners. It aligns with the spirit of Small Business Saturday and extends its impact throughout the year. Our program has supported 23 Toledo-based graduates to date, each one making a remarkable difference to their communities.
This Small Business Saturday we encourage you to shop local and support one or more of our 23 Impact Program clients.
