Specifically, José’s role involves engaging with early-stage and small business clients, identifying their service needs, providing value-added advising and making referrals within JumpStart, the BGC network, the NEO ESP Network and to our other external services partners.

Prior to joining Jumpstart, José worked as a Financial Service Manager in the Community Financial Centers for Cleveland Neighborhood Progress. In this role, he helped individual clients improve credit scores, manage money and debt, prepare for major purchases and set financial goals. He also assisted business clients with managing credit and finances while helping them eliminate language barriers to gain access to other useful small business resources.

José earned his Bachelor’s in Sports and Fitness Administration and Management and a Master’s of Business Administration in Management (MBA) from Cleveland State University. He currently serves as the Chair of Civic Education on the board of the Young Latino Network.
