The Trailblazer Software Accelerator is designed to fast-track ambitious pre-seed and seed-stage startups, providing expert support and up to $125K in non-dilutive funding. This three-month accelerator helps software startups solidify go-to-market strategies, fuel platform and business development and – prepare for their next dilutive fundraise.
With hands-on advising, access to top-tier resources, and a network of industry experts, this program prepares your tech business for venture capital and accelerates your growth. During the three-month accelerator participants will work with advisors on building their business and preparing to raise capital. Following the program’s pitch competition finale, participants will receive two additional months of dedicated support from serial entrepreneurs that will assist in the capital raising process.

Who Can Apply?
- Startups based in Ohio, or planning to relocate, who are solving significant problems with high-growth potential.
- Pre-seed and seed-stage tech companies with a venture-backable model planning to raise venture capital within 12 months of completing the program.
- Founding teams with complementary skills and resources to achieve a minimum viable product (MVP), supported by evidence of market validation.
- Previous applicants can reapply. Please indicate progress made since the last application.
- While the accelerators are industry-specific, some companies may be a fit for both. Talk to a JumpStart advisor to determine the best fit for your company.

Review Process
- All applicants are pre-screened and assessed for alignment with the program’s objectives and offerings.
- Strong applicants are advanced to interviews with our evaluation team.
- Candidates are scored using criteria to gauge the likelihood of a venture capital raise within 12 months or less. Criteria includes market need/size, value proposition, product development status, competitive advantage, sales process/execution, team composition/CEO coachability and projected outcomes.
- Selection notifications are sent approximately 3-4 weeks after applications close.
Program Details
- 3-month hybrid program blending virtual learning with in-person sessions.
- Additional 2-month advising support by a dedicated Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
- Regular cohort sessions for networking and collaborative growth with peers, subject matter experts, and investors.
- An in-person investor showcase to conclude the program.

Participation Requirements
- Weekly virtual curriculum sessions on Wednesdays, 9am-12pm ET.
- Weekly virtual meetings with your assigned advisor.
- In-person sessions: kick-off, midpoint pitches and startup showcase. Date and location to be confirmed.
