Byron helps ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and the effective management of organizational resources in support of JumpStart’s mission. He will also focus on small business loans and efforts to maintain strong financial records across Jumpstart’s subsidiaries.

Prior to joining JumpStart, Byron gained experience in sales, business development, and leadership through roles in the steel industry and collegiate athletics. Throughout his career, he has developed strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills while working in team-oriented environments focused on achieving shared goals.

Byron earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and completed his MBA in General Business at Youngstown State University. He was a six-year collegiate football student-athlete, competing at the University of Pittsburgh, the University at Buffalo, and Youngstown State University. During his athletic career, he served as a student-athlete leader and was actively involved in community engagement initiatives, fundraising efforts, and mentorship opportunities. He founded a fundraiser called Snapper49 where he helped raise nearly 15,000 dollars for UPMC Children’s Hospital.
