JumpStart Inc. today announced the appointment of Lorne Novick as its new Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive search process. Novick most recently served as Interim CEO, where he played a critical leadership role in stewarding the organization through a period of transition.

Novick brings 25 years of experience spanning small business support, capital deployment, ecosystem building and operational leadership. Throughout his decade-plus tenure at JumpStart, he has served in a progression of senior roles, culminating in his role as Chief Services Officer, where he oversaw statewide entrepreneurial services, capital initiatives, and key strategic partnerships.

“Lorne’s appointment reflects both continuity and momentum,” said Cindy Torres Essell, Chair of the JumpStart Board of Directors. “He is trusted by staff, respected by partners, and well known across the entrepreneurial ecosystem. His commitment to founders, operational excellence, and inclusive economic growth makes him the right leader to guide JumpStart into its next phase.”

“I’m honored to lead JumpStart and grateful to work for an organization whose mission I strongly believe in,” said Novick. “I look forward to engaging the community immediately and partnering with our team and stakeholders to build on our strong foundation and expand our impact across the region.

Novick will begin his tenure immediately, launching a listening and alignment tour with staff, funders, community partners and Ohio’s entrepreneurs.
