In this role at JumpStart, Rita leads a team of educators and partners to deliver dynamic learning experiences for all ages that foster creativity, digital skills, and community connection, while also supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners with access to creative services, technology, and advising.
A nationally recognized educator, Rita has dedicated her career to expanding access to STEM education. Her decade with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District included teaching high school physics, mentoring new educators, and coordinating digital fabrication labs districtwide to connect students and teachers with real-world design and advanced technology. She has also worked as a consultant with the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM, helping schools design and launch fabrication labs and innovative learning spaces across Ohio.
Rita holds a degree in Sociology and a post-baccalaureate teaching license from Baldwin Wallace University. She brings to her work a deep commitment to creativity, equity, and lifelong learning. Born in Hungary, she is an active member of Cleveland’s Hungarian community and loves spending her free time solving puzzles, rock climbing, and gardening.
