Two years ago, JumpStart launched its Trailblazer Accelerators with a straightforward offer to Ohio’s most promising early-stage HealthTech and Software founders: access the resources you need to scale here with no equity taken. To date, 79 startups have made the highly competitive program their proving ground. Supported primarily by Ohio Third Frontier and with additional funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration, JumpStart has awarded $11.84 million in non-dilutive funding the companies can apply toward services from a curated network of more than 200 vetted providers, from legal and product development to marketing and finance. Grants from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation and sponsorships from corporate and institutional partners shore up support for the program’s core elements which include intensive advising, weekly workshops and direct access to investors, customers and capital.

The program’s impact is beginning to emerge in the numbers. Collectively, Trailblazer companies already have raised more than $40 million and generated upwards of $10 million in revenue — and those numbers continue to grow. On June 11, nine more Ohio founders step onto the stage to share how they’re shaping the future of healthtech.

“Trailblazer is helping promising pre-seed and seed-stage companies accelerate their path to growth. Founders are building relationships with leading healthcare systems, payers and national brands, securing venture capital and gaining the traction they need to hit key milestones. However, one of the clearest signs of the program’s impact is the growing number of referrals we’re getting from alumni founders themselves,” says Kaleigh Gallagher, JumpStart’s Vice President of Tech Services and Network Management.

Gallagher invites investors, entrepreneurs, corporate and civic leaders to see these companies in action at the 2026 HealthTech Trailblazer Spring Showcase on Thursday, June 11 from 2 – 6pm at the Warren E. Anderson MidTown Collaboration Center, 1974 East 66th Street, Cleveland.

“I have been impressed by the sheer depth of innovation coming from Ohio founders. These companies are tackling some of the most critical problems of our time, from reimagining how healthcare is delivered to transforming how businesses operate. Seeing them graduate, attract capital and land customers validates everything these programs were built to achieve,” says JumpStart CEO Lorne Novick.

Pitching on June 11 are nine Ohio-based startups focused on some of the most urgent challenges in modern medicine: Auni Therapeutics, developing novel immunotherapies to treat severe food allergies; Dianyx Innovations, embedding smart sensors in dental appliances to deliver continuous sleep and health data to providers; Medical Interface Solutions / Strokennect, putting AI-powered stroke screening tools in the hands of first responders; Meteora3D, delivering patient-specific 3D-printed surgical models in under one hour; MindMode AI, using passive biometric data to detect early mental health risk and streamline clinical documentation; Open NeuroTech, giving research teams an open-source implantable neuromodulation platform with a clear path to human clinical trials; Predictable Benefits, an ICHRA software and fintech platform built for brokers, carriers and agencies; RE-Assist, an AI-enabled care coordination platform unifying primary care, hospitals and community services; and TidalMed, a real-time sensor that delivers discreet leak alerts for ostomy patients and caregivers.

Joining them is a panel of investors and operators. Beyond the Pitch: What It Takes to Win in HealthTech features Aaron Crookes, co-founder and CEO of Apricity Robotics and Trailblazer alum; Bill Trainor, Managing Director of Mutual Capital Partners; Hardik Desai, Managing Partner of JumpStart Ventures; and Andrew Nelson, co-founder of MIM Software, a GE Healthcare company.
