Terranean, a Cleveland-based food company, has been selected by Kroger following its participation in the Nourishing Change Conference, an event focused on consumer wellness, prevention, and chronic illness awareness.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the news, founder Tina Lattouf Chamoun said Terranean’s message at the conference centered on meeting consumers where they are by offering healthier alternatives to foods that are already part of their routines and family tables.
Terranean produces Lebanese-inspired seasonings, condiments and pita snacks. The products draw on ingredients and traditions Chamoun grew up with, including za’atar, dates, sesame and sumac.
Chamoun also highlighted the opportunity to advocate for chronic illness awareness at the conference, noting that the event brought together industry leaders focused on consumer wellness, prevention, and chronic illness and that the topic is personally meaningful to her as someone living with chronic illness.
A graduate of JumpStart’s CapitalReady program, Chamoun has grown Terranean into a nationally distributed brand while maintaining its roots in Cleveland. The woman-owned company employs an all-women, immigrant team and incorporates zero-waste and upcycling practices into its operations.
Today, Terranean products are available in more than 1,000 retail locations nationwide. The Kroger selection adds to a growing list of milestones for the company as it continues expanding its presence in the specialty food market.
