As JumpStart’s Chief Administrative Officer, Cindy leads the teams and functions that keep the organization running, including operations, technology, human resources, legal and compliance, facilities and strategic initiatives. She works closely with the CEO and leadership team to put JumpStart’s plans into action and advance its mission to drive economic vitality by helping entrepreneurs succeed.

Prior to joining JumpStart, Cindy served as Chief People Officer at Heinen’s Inc., where she directed enterprise-wide talent, human resources and learning strategies. An ICF-certified Associate Certified Coach and trusted executive advisor, she has coached senior leaders and high-potential talent through strategic decision-making, organizational change and team development. Earlier in her career, she practiced labor and employment law and held senior leadership roles advancing human resources, talent development and equity initiatives.

Cindy earned her Juris Doctor from The University of Akron School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace University. Her professional credentials include the SPHR, SHRM-SCP and ACC designations. She has been recognized as a YWCA Woman of Professional Excellence, an OnCon Top 50 HR Professional and a Crain’s Cleveland Business Archer Award winner for Innovation in Organizational Development. Her civic leadership includes service on the boards of The Centers for Families and Children, The University of Akron HR Advisory Board, Esperanza Inc., the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s Northeast Ohio Chapter and The Rainey Institute.
