Event Overview

The Second Inaugural Midwest Pediatric Device Consortium Showcase is being held at the MidTown Collaboration Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This event will highlight the first year of achievements and awardees of the first funding cycle. The Showcase will bring key stakeholders together to discuss the major pediatric initiatives and strategies aiding innovators, companies, and investors. The Midwest Pediatric Device Consortium (MPDC) is a newly formed FDA-funded consortium led by Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Ohio State University, Cincinnati Children’s, and Cleveland Clinic Children’s, launched to utilize the resources of the Midwest to advance pediatric device development across the country. This program provides specific funding for devices and resources for inventors to advance their projects. The FDA awarded a $6.95 million grant to the collaboration to establish the MPDC and to provide funding, resources, networking, clinical trial infrastructure, a commitment to underserved populations, real-world evidence, and collaboration with other national PDCs.
