JumpStart Inc. is proud to announce the addition of four members to its board of directors: Terry Coyne, Marcia Moreno, Shelly Peet and Mark Samolczyk. The members will each serve three-year terms beginning in January 2026.

This summer, our Marketing and Communications team hosted two interns; Alijah Newton, a rising third-year student at University of Cincinnati with a double major in entrepreneurship and marketing; and Erin Thomas, a rising senior at The Ohio State University with a major in marketing and a minor in studio art.

With nearly two decades of experience driving enterprise-wide innovation programs, managing venture portfolios, and advancing regional economic development initiatives, he brings invaluable expertise to JumpStart's mission.
Now in its third year, Ohio VC Fest '25 is doubling down on its mission to accelerate Ohio's tech ecosystem and surging innovation economy with a special focus on AI and other emerging trends shaping the future of venture capital and entrepreneurship.
Effective August 4, 2025, the Board has appointed Lorne Novick as Interim CEO. Lorne brings a deep knowledge of JumpStart’s mission, operations, and stakeholder network, and will provide steady leadership through this period of transition.
